From managing the floorcoverings department of an independent department store to managing the customer service function of the largest specialist floorcoverings retailer in Europe, my experience spans more than thirty years and includes:
• Setting up the National Conciliation Service of Qualitas Furnishing Standards (now the Furniture Ombudsman)
• Creating the Carpetright Fitters’ Academy for the assessment and training of independent floorcoverings installers (partnering with FITA, the Flooring Industry Training Association)
• Acting as an independent expert witness for more than 25 years
• Training retail managers to understand what good fitting should look like and how to inspect floorcoverings
My experience is primarily with domestic floorcoverings and light contract installations. My expertise also covers furniture and fitted furniture which can help when inspecting flooring under fitted kitchens, etc.
I’m listed on the UK Register of Experts and I’m a member of the Expert Witness Institute.
